Now, more than ever, it’s important that our community works together to help the most vulnerable in our society. To play our part, the GTP is committing to facilitate what help is needed.
We’re working with MES, an accredited NGO who is coordinating a feeding scheme to make sure the homeless in Bellville and Parow have access to food during the lockdown.
You can help by donating:
- fresh and tinned ingredients for soup
- protein (meat)
- bread, jams and spreads
- cash donations are also welcome
MES have arranged for collection trolleys at SPAR stores in Sonstraal and Aurora and at Willowbridge Shopping Centre.
Please make a contribution to these collections when you are topping up your own lockdown provisions. MES will coordinate the collection and distribution of donations.
Please be wary of groups asking for financial donations to support COVID-19 activities. Please only donate to organisations that have the requisite accreditation to operate during lockdown.
