We are working with Open Streets Cape Town in developing the urban activations programme. This project encompasses three components that contribute to the development of an active urban centre, maximising the use of public spaces. The projects will be delivered through the creation of an urban activation entity, comprising community members, designers and planners, who will coordinate the various activations. Project components include:
- Developing an events calendar for Bellville which will be run by a coordinated events body created for the purpose
- Formulating outdoor urban events hosted in Elizabeth Park, including a public event and two market events
- An Open Streets Day, building on the success of previous similar days
